The event, called 'Jephcott Symposium: The Future of Prevention in Cardiovascular Disease', featured talks that set out a clear account of both the benefits and disadvantages of preventive medicine. The symposium also highlighted ways to maximise our opportunities for prevention yet minimise inappropriate medicalisation.
